Sovaniya Sikhyashrama, Rourkela

Lions club of Rourkela has adopted Rourkela Sovaniya Sikhyashram located at Karlakhaman (near Lathikata approximately 20 km away from Rourkela). It was started in 1997 is a conglomeration of the best of ancient Gurukul, educational system of Satyabadi, basic & modern educational system and was founded by revered Kumar Bhai. The students are taught as per syllabus prescribed by Government of Orissa by a team of thirteen dedicated teachers out of which twelve are lady teachers called Guruma. At present there are 280 students upto Class VII.
