Headquarters Divisions

Responsibilities of the Divisions

Club Supplies & Distribution Division

  • Provides clubs with a wide variety of items marketed with the Lions’ emblem including awards, apparel, pins, plaques and special orders

Convention Division

  • Coordinates convention registration, housing programs and facilities.
  • Plans logistics for DGE Seminar and BOD meetings

District & Club Administration Division

  • Responsible for district & club operations, DG and club president awards.
  • Assists districts and clubs worldwide in 12 official languages

Extension & Membership

  • Implements programs to develop new clubs, recruit and retain members Finance Division.
  • Maintains the integrity of the association’s financial and accounting systems.
  • Provides financial services including collection of club and district payments and auditing and payment of DG expense claims.
  • Supports bank accounts around the world.

Information Technology Division

  • Processes and maintains membership, inventory and accounting records.
  • Monitors computer systems at Headquarters, Canada, India and Japan

International Activities & Program Planning Division

  • Plans and oversees a variety of programs including those for culture & environment, health, international relations, long-range planning, services for children.
  • Oversees Lions Opportunities for Youth activities.

Leadership Division

  • Provides a variety of leadership development opportunities for current and future Lions leaders including the DGE Seminar.

Legal Division

  • Responsible for the legal operations of the Association, including trademark registration.
  • Provides guidance to Lions members on constitutional and parliamentary matters.
  • Administers worldwide liability, property and accident insurance programs.
  • Coordinates endorsement and certification of candidates for international office

Lions Clubs International Foundation

  • The grant making arm of LCI; supports Lions humanitarian efforts in their communities and worldwide.
  • Promotes and receives contributions and provides appropriate recognition.
  • Solicits partnerships and funds from non-Lion sources.

PR & Production Division

  • Works with local, national and international media to promote Lions programs.
  • Administers Peace Poster Contest, Recycle for Sight and Sight Night.
  • Publishes Headquarters and Spanish editions of THE LION Magazine.
  • Oversees Lions Web site www.lionsclubs.org
